When you are a fanatical athlete, you know how important it is to take good care of your body. You strain muscles, tendons, and joints quite a lot during workouts. Besides the right training load and rest, nutrition plays an essential role in your performance as well as your recovery. A suitable product to use is collagen, which plays an important role in structure, elasticity, and firmness of the different kinds of connective tissue. These kinds of connective tissue include cartilage, bones, tendons, and the skin. There are several kinds of collagen (at least 14), of which XXL Nutrition offers type 1. Type 1 is the main component of our bones but is also found in our skin, tendons organs.

Bovine Collagen

Besides our Fish Collagen we now also have Collagen+, based on Bovine Collagen. Bovine means beef, and Collagen+ consists out of 78% of this hydrolysed bovine collagen. Furthermore, Collagen+ is added with natural ingredients such as magnesium citrate, natural flavour aroma and Stevia.

Collagen with Vitamin C

XXL Nutrition’s Collagen+ contains at least 40 milligrams of Vitamin C per dose, which comes down to 50% of the reference intake. Vitamin C contributes to the normal collagen formation for a normal functioning of the cartilage.

Nutritional value and flavour

You don’t have to be afraid that using Collagen+ will confuse your macros.

In fact: with a protein percentage of 74%, chances are that it contributes to your protein intake. It’s free from sugars and fats which makes it ideal to use within a healthy diet. Besides that, collagen products on the market are not known for their great flavour. This is why XXL Nutrition introduces Collagen+ to change that! The recipe is added with natural aroma flavours and Stevia.
